Fletcher tries to answer every question, but it may take him a few days to reply.
Sometimes he's away at marketing seminars. He'll post the most interesting questions
and answers here.
What are you, Fletcher?
I am S. Suricatta - a  meerkat.

Where did you come from?
The Manor.  I was bored with life there when I thought, "If a gecko and a duck can make it
big time in the ad business than why can't a meerkat?"
We use all acid free and pH neutral materials in our matting and
mounting. Full
conservation framing is available and we'll be
glad to explain the different options and suggest which ones
may be right for you and your budget.
Do you do archival and conservation framing?
How long does it take to get something framed?
For most frames it takes from 1 to 2 weeks. Rounded and decorated corner frames and
some gold or silver leaf frames may require 4 to 6 weeks. We often can accomodate
shorter deadlines if you let us know when we design your frame.
Mat board made from linen, "rag mat", is truly acid free since it is made without the
harsh chemicals used to make paper mat board. Rag mats are pH neutral. Rag mat
board offers the highest level of protection to anything framed.

Modern paper or "alpha-cellulose" mat board is treated to remove acids and other
chemicals during manufacturing. Buffering agents are added to assure the finished
paper is pH neutral. Paper mat board is more economical than rag mat and is offered
in a wider variety of colors and textures. It is often an excellent choice for photographs,
certificates, memorabilia and many other items.
Isn't custom framing expensive?
We can work with you to design a frame for any budget.
